Thunbergia (Black Eyed Susan) is a very decorative fast growing climber. It is perennial in its place of origin in South-East Africa and annual in temperate regions. In a short time, its thin tendrils grab at any support nearby. Because of this, it is excellent for covering walls, fences, trellis or pergolas. Its yellow to brick-red flowers open profusely from spring to autumn. Grown in pots it can be put in a warm bright place where it will continue to bloom.
