The Bougainvillea glabra, vine from Brazil, is well adapted to the Mediterranean climate. In a few decades has become an integral part of its landscape. In summer, numerous pink-violet bracts surround the tiny white flowers. In countries with cold climates, it is well suited for pots on balconies or terraces. To bloom profusely it needs full sun many hours a day. Before the first frost, it is advisable to take the plant to a protected place.
